Winnsboro Independent School District

Winnsboro Independent School District is a public school district based in Winnsboro, Texas, United States.

Located in northeastern Wood County, the district extends into southeast Hopkins and southern Franklin counties.

Winnsboro ISD has three campuses - Winnsboro High (Grades 9-12), Memorial Middle (Grades 5-8), and Winnsboro Elementary (Grades PK-4)

In 2011, the school district was rated "recognized" by the Texas Education Agency.[1]

Winnsboro ISD is a state recognized district in Texas. The district has about 1430 students pre-k through 12 with three campuses. It is located in the beautiful piney woods of northeastern Texas about 50 miles north of Tyler, Texas. The district has been led by Superintendent Dr. Mark Bosold for the past eleven years. The high school principal is Susan Morton, middle school principal is Jeff Akin, and elementary principal is Kristie Amason. The district's mission statement is the following: "We value the rural environment while preparing students for global competition."
